Dates for your Diary

Confirmation Preparation

Monday 10th September 6.00pm – 7.00pm
Confirmation preparation will begin on 10th September for the Celebration of Confirmation which will take place this year at St Mary’s, Middlewich on Friday 16th November. If you are in the new school year 9 or above and have already made your First Holy Communion then you are invited to attend our preparation sessions. Our first meeting will be at 6.00pm in church and will include introduction information for parents and candidates. A timetable of further meetings will be given out on that day. Notices will be given out at St Nicholas CHS  but if you know of anyone who attends a different school please let them know. Please speak to Fr Simon if you have any questions.

Scripture Group

Monday 10th September 7.30pm – 9.00pm
Our scripture group will begin again on Monday 10th September. Meetings are usually fortnightly and take place in the presbytery. They offer an informal but informed look at the scripture readings for the following Sunday. Our emphasis is on the meaning of scripture in today’s world. The Word of God invites us into a real relationship and is often deepened by sharing our thoughts and experiences with others. It is a very friendly group and we would love to welcome new members. We look forward to seeing you.

First Holy Communion Preparation Programme

Monday 17th September at 7:30pm
If you would like your child to receive the sacraments during this year, please come along to our meeting in church.
The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes and you will be given an enrolment form to complete. You will need to know the date of your child’s Baptism. At the meeting parents will be asked to make a £5 donation towards the cost of the book which will be presented to your child. This is for Year 3 children and upwards.

Little Church

We are asking for volunteers to help with running the Little Church at 11am Mass. Little Church ensures that our parish children have experience of being part of a community of faith where their thoughts and ideas are valued by that community. If anyone is interested in helping, please speak with Elaine after the 11am Mass. Elaine will continue to help with the Little Church, you would not be expected to do the Little Church every week.
