LPA Shrines of France 2019
5th – 13th September 2019
St John Vianney Parish have organised a coach trip to Lisieux, Nevers, Lourdes and Paris. Cost is £660, full details can be found in the forms in the outer porch.
Coffee Morning
Tuesday 13th November
Last week’s Coffee Morning raised a total of £159. Thanks again to our organisers and those who came along.
Bingo Night
Friday 23rd November – doors open at 7pm and the bingo starts at 7:30pm.
We would be grateful for donations of Prizes for this event. And of course your support on the evening itself – always a great evening out. The money raised on the Bingo Night is to pay for essential equipment and electrical works in the Parish Centre. Tickets are now on sale.
Belgian Beer Night
Friday 7th December 7:30pm to 11:30pm
Tickets available from Phil Martin in advance of the night (07720 807162). Price is £10 for 2 beers (one draught and one bottle) plus food (Belgian Stew). More beers available to purchase on the night. £4 for those who only want the food. Pre-order forms will be made available before the event if you want to order additional beers for the Christmas period.
Parish Administrator
We are looking to find a person to take over as Parish Administrator. Derek has been carrying out this role since 2011 and he has decided to retire next month.
If you would like to volunteer to take over will you please speak to Fr Simon. Or, if you would like to know what it involves, you can contact Derek.
Derek is definitely finishing so we need to find a replacement pretty quickly.
Spiritan’s Missionary Appeal
Fr Desmond has asked us to thank everyone for the warm welcome extended to him – and for your generosity in the Collection. A cheque has been sent to the Spiritans for £550.
Spectacles For Missions
Please continue to bring in your unwanted spectacles and cases. Before the spectacles are sent out to the Missions they are checked and repaired as required by a group of prisoners providing them with valuable work.
