St George’s Day Night
Friday 26th April 7:30pm
Our annual St. George’s Fish and Chip Supper night. Food will be served at approx. 2030. Menus and lists are in the porch. Money to be given in advance of the night either to Phil or left in the safe (Make sure you provide your name and amount on the envelope). All monies to be paid no later than Tuesday 23rd April. We will have a short quiz prior to the food arriving (One for the kids and one for the bigger kids).
Sponsorship request
Tony Montgomery is running the Manchester Half Marathon with his daughter Lucy to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice. Tony and Lucy would very much appreciate sponsorship to help the hospice in its work in helping so many patients and their families. There is a sponsorship form in the porch if anyone would like to donate to the Hospice. Thank you.
St Nicholas to Lourdes
St Nicholas is again joining the annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes from 25th July to 2nd August. This is open to students from St Nicholas who are in Year 11,12 or 13. Booking forms and more information are available from Mairie Gelling, the school chaplain. Bookings need to be made by the end of April.
Food for Thought
Thank you to everybody who has donated food items during the Lent period. In the past week the mid-Cheshire foodbank has fed 109 people, including 39 children. To help more people they urgently need the following –
- Medium size boxes of cereal
- Sponge puddings
- Tinned fruit
- Tinned potatoes
- Instant mash
Bingo Night
The Bingo Night on Friday 5th April made £1080. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, those who supported the event on the night and to everyone who helped to organise the night.

Prisoner Outreach
